Best Paid Mood Tracking Apps: August 2025

Latest paid apps review

Recently I wrote a post with the best free mood tracking apps that are available as of now: https://moodtrackers.org/best-free-mood-tracking-apps-august-2025/.

It is also very clear that in this category, the very good best apps are paid. Probably because it’s quite a niche category and you won’t make much from ads:). So in this post I’m going to review the best paid mood trackers. I’ve decided to make it shorter than the previous one and instead of reviewing all the paid options, I will just share the two best applications currently available. One can be downloaded on both Android and iPhone, the other is iPhone only.

So let’s go!

Daylio

I think this is the most popular mood tracking app on the market. You can find it being recommended on Reddit and in various online communities. And in my opinion, it deserves the praise.

The app has tons of statistics and customizations. It also has reminders, goals and achievements, going beyond just regular tracking towards improving your wellbeing. Of course, most advanced features are only available in Premium version. So if you’re serious about this activity and is eager to invest your time and money, Daylio is definitely the best app.

Unhinged

This app is on the exact opposite side from Daylio on the mood trackers specter. Why? Because it’s very simple. It doesn’t have many statistics screens, doesn’t have rich customization possibilities and additional features like tasks. However, as soon as you open it, it becomes clear that the app is crafted with professionalism and love.

Just look at these screenshots!

The app has one interesting feature that is a special “People” section which exists in addition to Stats and allows you to filter your moods by a person you were with. Very nice one in my opinion.

So if you don’t need customizations, but prefer to have a very nice and pleasant design with smooth animations, Unhigned is the best option now. The only caveat is that it’s for iOS only. No Android version, sorry. You can read the full review here: https://moodtrackers.org/unhinged-app-review/.

Results

As a conclusion, the whole space of mood tracking apps is very big. But actually, same as for the free ones, there are not so many really great apps among them. And if you’re not happy with the free options, I recommend to check either Daylio or Unhinged. One of them will sure satisfy your needs.
